Embrace Change at The Nunnery Gallery

I had a great opportunity to exhibit my installation at the Nunnery Gallery from March  28th to April 3rd, 2019.

Embrace Change is an installation I created to encourage people to accept diversity.  A table is set for two people, on the table are items either made completely of clay or painted with acrylic paints to look like clay. The one item of colour is the small peach in the fruit bowl surrounded by clay fruit, the peach typifies a person who has accepted these differences in themselves and in others. The more of us who can accept our selves and our differences the more the colour will spread and fill the entire table, we will then enjoy a beautiful feast of colour and aromas and tastes.

It’s been a long journey to this point, many hours of preparation and pulling the piece together, fortunately, I’ve recorded the whole process (which I will share with you soon) and can honestly say the entire journey has been so rewarding. The idea has evolved in what was first designed to be a really dark gray hostile looking table to evolving into a light and wholesome piece of artwork.
